IFP Summer Camps 2016: Fashion Photography (ages 12-17)

Starts July 11

Monday–Friday, July 11–15, 12–4 pm

Learn how to plan and produce a fashion shoot! For inspiration we’ll look at the work of classic and current fashion photographers such as Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Ellen von Unwirth, Cass Bird, and Irving Penn. We’ll meet with local fashion designers to discuss their work, and then we’ll plan the location, lighting, and overall mood for a shoot that will highlight their designs worn by professional models. Objectives include developing clear communication skills, idea execution, pre-production planning, artistic direction of your model, and creating a small portfolio of the shoot. This outrageously fun and educational camp is made possible with support from the Minnesota Textile Center. Please bring a DSLR camera with manual settings each day with a minimum 4GB memory card and charged battery, and at least one lens.

Tuition: $240
