IFP Summer Camps 2016: Short Cuts (Sec. 1, ages 11-15)

Monday–Friday, June 13–17, 12–4 pm
The perfect camp for the future director! Students will create two short films over the course of the week. You’ll be introduced to the filmmaking process through an introductory artist’s statement film, then add further production value in creating video poem shorts. You’ll learn how to develop and storyboard a film idea, direct a production with professional gear, and edit with Adobe Premiere Pro CC.
Tuition: $240
Yoshi Katagiri has been working in the film and television industry for over ten years. He began by volunteering in the equipment room at IFP and thereupon studied Filmmaking and Media Production at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. He has worked as a grip on feature films, edited award-winning narrative shorts and cable programming, and is currently a director/shooter of corporate marketing videos.
