IFP Summer Camps 2016: Claymation (ages 11-15)

Monday–Friday, July 25–29, 12–4 pm
What fun it is to make inanimate objects come to life and craft a world of your own! Come learn the basics of stop-motion clay animation with resources at your fingertips. Experiment with set, prop, and character designs, armature building, movement, sound, and editing in this weeklong camp. Working in small groups, you’ll turn ideas into stories and stories into fun, short animations. A magical world is waiting to be created with your exciting imagination!
Tuition: $240
Emily Downes is a filmmaker, animator, and instructor with a BFA in Film from UW-Milwaukee. Her senior thesis film ANNA was selected to screen at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner. Emily worked for several years as a mentor for Milwaukee Film’s Collaborative Cinema, assisting youth with screenplay writing and professional video productions. She loves to share her passion for digital arts with all ages while collaborating with local artists to build a strong and vibrant community. Emily currently serves as a youth instructor for IFP MN’s after school program JuiceMedia.
