Introduction to Editing with Adobe Premiere Pro CC–Section 3 (Winter Session)

This course covers basic nonlinear editing with Premiere Pro (for Mac) through demonstrations and hands-on instruction using narrative and documentary footage provided by the instructor. Topics include media management and archiving, editing vocabulary and concepts, editing process for narrative and documentary, importing and organizing your media, trimming clips and building your rough cut, using a variety of editing tools to fine-tune your edit, working with sound, applying transitions, adding titles, using some basic video effects, and exporting your project. The material covered is also applicable to Premiere Pro for PCs. Students are welcomed to bring laptops to class. There is a lunch break each session. Space is limited – register early!

Beth Peloff is a documentary filmmaker with ten years of experience making short films about people coming together to make art and community. She has taught video production classes since 2004 and co-owns Green Jeans Media LLC, a Minneapolis-based video production and animation company.
