Shooting with the Red Epic Dragon Camera

1 session: Saturday, August 15, 10am–5pm

This workshop is designed for students with intermediate to advanced experience in video production that want to learn technical production techniques shooting with a Red Epic Dragon 6K camera. As a part of the technical introduction to the camera, the workshop will cover shooting for R3D RAW, compression, resolution, dynamic range, HDR, and working with files in post. Hands-on exercises will be provided to help students understand how the camera works in different shooting scenarios and in post-production.
Tuition: $175 regular/$130 member/$100 low-income
Alexander Kohnstamm is a Saint Paul native who began making film when he attended Lawrence University in 2009. He’s directed and produced many short films that have shown various film festivals and in 2012 officially formed Kobamm Productions with Alec Schwandt, a graduate of Minneapolis College of Art and Design. IFP MN Class Registration Guidelines
- Registration deadlines are listed with course descriptions. Space is assigned on a first-come basis. Registrations must be paid in full to be valid.
- If minimum enrollment has not been reached, IFP MN may cancel the class. If so, students will be notified the week of the class and receive a full refund.
- For students wishing to cancel a registration prior to the registration deadline, 100% of the tuition will be refunded minus a $15 administration fee. For cancellations after the registration deadline but prior to the first session, 50% of the tuition will be refunded minus a $15 administration fee. Once a course begins, no refunds will be given.
- Tuition is not prorated for missed class sessions.
