Michael Starrbury Goes to Washington

Last month first lady Michelle Obama hosted a White House screening of The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete to bring attention to the need for all of us to help young people make it through college. Written by Minnesotan Michael Starrbury (a two-time FilmNorth/McKnight Screenwriting Fellow), the film is nominated for Film Independent Spirit Award in the category of Best First Screenplay.
