Announcing 2015 Spirit Awards Screenings

Independent Filmmaker Project Minnesota and the Walker Art Center, in coordination with Film Independent, will once again present free, members-only screenings of twenty Film Independent Spirit Awards-nominated films from January 13 through February 11, 2015.

The annual Film Independent Spirit Awards celebrate artist-driven filmmaking and recognize the year's finest achievements. For the third year in a row Independent Filmmaker Project Minnesota and Walker Art Center members have a chance to see all of the nominated films in four categories in advance of the live IFC broadcast Spirit Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on February 21, 2015.

Starting January 13 and continuing for five consecutive Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, the 2015 Spirit Awards nominees in the categories of Best Feature, Best First Feature, Best Documentary and the John Cassavetes Award will be presented as double features in the acclaimed Walker Cinema.

These free award preview screenings are open exclusively to IFP Minnesota members and members of the Walker. Don't miss this unique opportunity to see independent vanguard films, many of which have not yet opened theatrically in the Twin Cities. The specific schedule of Spirit Awards screenings will be available in mid-December at on this website.
