Description
All independent filmmakers should learn about the low-budget contracts that SAG-AFTRA has to offer and how you can use SAG-AFTRA talent in your projects. Are you worried that it will cost too much? Worried about too much paperwork? Come find out for yourself and hopefully put your worries to rest. We’ll have a presentation on all the Low-Budget Agreements with special focus on the new Micro-Budget Agreement. Presented by Kathy Byrne, Director of TV/Theatrical for SAG-AFTRA Chicago, and Bill Hendrickson, Executive Director of Michigan and Twin Cities Locals (see bios at bottom of page). The talk includes time for Q&A.

Kathy Byrne
Kathy has been the Director of TV/Theatrical for SAG-AFTRA Chicago since May, 2010. In addition to running the TV/Theatrical Department, she also is the head of Agency Relations for the Chicago local. This entails working with Franchised Agents in the Chicago market.
Kathy is a firm believer in outreach to both actors and filmmakers who are beginning their careers, or who have worked on several film projects without realizing how easy it is to work with SAG-AFTRA actors and contracts.
Kathy oversees TV/Theatrical contracts in 11 states in the Midwest (including MN).
Bill Hendrickson
Bill is the Executive Director of the SAG-AFTRA Twin Cities Local. He began his career at SAG-AFTRA shortly after the merger as an organizer, first in the Kansas City office and later Chicago. As an organizer Bill helped broadcast journalists form unions in their workplace and assisted in the negotiation of their contracts.
As Local Executive Director he works with the Local board to help achieve established goals, be they related to legislation and public policy, organizing, professional development programming, or outreach.
Prior to his time with SAG-AFTRA, Bill served in the Army as a combat medic 1999-2009.
