Ages 11-14. M-F, June 24-28, 1:00 pm-4:30 pm

Welcome to the Youth Filmmaking Camp: Set Design and Decoration Edition! Dive into the captivating world of production design and set decoration as we unravel the secrets behind crafting the visual landscapes of films, TV shows, and videos. During this exhilarating one-week camp, participants will delve into the intricacies of set design, breaking down script scenes to identify and create vital set pieces that breathe life into the narrative and characters.

From exploring sourcing ideas to understanding the basics of budgeting for a set, students will gain invaluable insights into the behind-the-scenes magic that brings stories to life on screen. Embracing a hands-on approach, the class will have the unique opportunity to “dress” a set, transforming creative ideas into tangible realities. As an exciting bonus, each student will craft a hand-prop, allowing them to experience the thrill of creating something an actor would handle. Get ready for a week of artistic exploration, creativity under deadlines, and the chance to bring your imaginative visions to the forefront of filmmaking!

Tuition: $265
