Stand By Me, an emerging artist showcase of photographic work by De’Andre Avaloz on display since March 25, will be celebrated once more during a closing reception this Saturday, 3–6 pm at the IFP MN Marsden/Gustafson Gallery, 550 Vandalia Street, Suite 120, in Saint Paul.

According to the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, well over 10,000 Minnesotans are homeless, a six percent increase from a previous study. For more than a year Avaloz photographed and conducted interviews with many homeless people in the Twin Cities to bring their stories and experiences to light. This raw, compelling, and emotional exhibition will inform, enlighten, and move you.
