Class & Workshop Scholarship Application

FilmNorth inspires and provides opportunities for all filmmakers and media artists in the North to thrive, with a commitment to eliminate disparities for those who helm from underserved communities. In order to increase equitable access to our programs, funding priorities have been set for FilmNorth's scholarship eligibility criteria with focus on inclusion of people who have historically been excluded from our industry.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible Applicants must agree to each of the following requirements. Please note applicants may be asked to provide proof and/or explanation by program administrators and scholarships are not guaranteed.

Eligible Applicants

Are residents of the state of Minnesota and/or will maintain residence in Minnesota for the entirety of the camp’s duration.

Have not received a scholarship to another FilmNorth program within 365 days of the program start date.

Significantly identify as a member of an underserved population and/or community.

Examples include but are not limited to the following:
