The Fiscal Sponsorship program at FilmNorth has been designed to assist media artists who are members of FilmNorth seeking grants and/or contributions from sources requiring a federal exempt tax status, i.e., a non-profit organization status. For individual contributors, this arrangement allows for charitable contribution deductions on federal tax returns.
Through fiscal sponsorship provided by FilmNorth, producers of CUNNINGHAM were able to engage philanthropists and champions of the arts, offering them an opportunity to become involved and financially support the film with a charitable contribution.
