Drew Spenny

Drew Spenny is a musician, filmmaker, and visual artist. Born and raised in Minnesota, Drew studied music performance and production at Perpich Center for the Arts and digital media studies at Hamline University as an undergrad. He then attended University of North Carolina Wilmington’s inaugural MFA in filmmaking graduate program.

Two of Drew’s films have won sound design awards in international film festivals and others have been nominated for sound design awards.

Drew believes that art is a means of processing our experiences and presenting questions to grapple with and in turn, learn more about ourselves. It’s a powerful process that allows human beings to express their souls in ways that language cannot.
