Nick Clausen

For years, Nick Clausen carried a 23-pound camera across the country, capturing the raw, unscripted moments of television news from Chattanooga to Minneapolis. His dedication to visual storytelling earned him recognition as a finalist for the National Press Photographers Association’s Photographer of the Year, along with four regional Emmys and a regional Edward R. Murrow Award.

Nick’s passion for filmmaking extends beyond the newsroom. As a documentary filmmaker, he crafts compelling narratives, including Women Outward Bound, which screened at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Film Festival and won Best Feature Documentary at the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival.

Currently, Nick teaches at the University of St. Thomas, where he shares his expertise with the next generation of storytellers. He also produces high-impact marketing videos, drawing on his experience working with industry giants like The New York Times, The Washington Post, Netflix, Showtime, Travel Channel, and the Food Network.

With a career rooted in capturing truth through the lens, Nick continues to shape the world of visual storytelling – one frame at a time.
