Cinema Lounge Submissions

Anyone can submit a film. While submission does not guarantee that your film will be screened, there is no submission fee. If you’d like to be the next filmmaker to screen with us, please complete this form. PLEASE NOTE: SUBMISSIONS MUST BE 20 MINUTES OR LESS TRT. IF YOUR FILM IS SELECTED, THE DIRECTOR AND/OR PRODUCER MUST AGREE TO ATTEND THE SCREENING AND PARTICIPATE IN AN AUDIENCE Q&A.

And if your film is selected to screen at Cinema Lounge, you will need to provide us with a high quality digital file via Dropbox, WeTransfer, downloadable Vimeo link. We also ask that you bring a back up copy of the file to the screening.

  • To be used for publicity materials. 200 character limit.
  • Accepted file types: jpg, gif, png, pdf, Max. file size: 300 MB.
    Upload a screenshot or production still from your film. File formats allowed: jpg, gif, png, pdf. Be sure files names do not include special characters or extra spaces!

  • Think Ahead!

    Cinema Lounge screens works from an iPad. If your work is selected we will need a projection ready download with the following settings:

  • Compressor 

    Preset: "H.264 for iPad and iPhone 4" 

  • Quicktime

    Format: "iPad, iPhone 4 & Apple TV" 

  • Premiere / Adobe Media Encoder 

    Format: "H.264" and Preset: "Apple TV, iPad, iPhone 4 and newer - 720p 23.976"

I am duly authorized to submit this film to FilmNorth and understand that FilmNorth holds the right to screen my film for Cinema Lounge, promotional purposes, and to extract clips from this film for promotional purposes. 2. I understand that submission does not guarantee selection. 3. FilmNorth has complete discretion over programming and scheduling of films. 4. FilmNorth has the right to use my name, photograph, likeness, voice and sounds in connection with Cinema Lounge and FilmNorth. 5. I/we shall be solely responsible for taking all necessary steps to establish and protect my/our copyright in the submitted materials, and FilmNorth shall have no obligation with respect thereto.
