Cinema Lounge
Looking for a nice, free venue at which to screen your work? Or you simply want to see great locally-made independent film? Cinema Lounge provides local filmmakers with a cool, intimate space to screen their latest work and film enthusiasts a spot to come and see the best indie shorts coming out of Minnesota today.
Our programmer curates a lineup of 2-4 locally made shorts (20 minutes or less) per screening. We mix it up with anything and everything: narratives, docs, music videos, animation, and experimental. After each film is screened, you meet the mind(s) behind the film, as our host conducts a short Q+A session with the filmmakers.
Cinema Lounge is presented at the Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater, 810 W. Lake St. in Minneapolis.
All shows: doors open 6:00 pm; show starts 7:00 pm.
All screenings will be closed captioned with ASL interpreters upon request.

I had the opportunity to show a short film at the Cinema Lounge awhile ago. It was the most affirming experience to a filmmaker who is used to toiling away without much response. To hear a room full of people laughing and see them listening and then asking informed questions was so rewarding. Thanks for providing this opportunity to a community of filmmakers! Keep up the great work. –Phil Holt
